Me and Cameras :)

My earliest memory of holding a camera is when I was about four or five years old, and I used to play with my parents old Kodak box camera that they had brought back from New York, I would spend hours and hours up in my bedroom and in the garden placing porcelain dolls up against walls and in the middle of flower beds pretending they were models, I then moved onto the Polaroid Camera that shot out the photo instantly, this cost my parents a fortune, a roll of film would last approx ten minutes!! When I was about eight years old we had a little black 35mm film camera nothing fancy, and I was obsessed with taking photos of our pet dog at the time I remember one time i used a whole roll of film all on the dog!!

As I got older then the disposable Fuji and Kodak cameras came out and these satisfied me till I got a Kodak advanced camera for my 16th birthday, I was starting to go out with friends then, debs balls, graduation parties, the odd night out and so that camera got a lot of use and seen a lot of fun. :)

I got my first full time job when I was eighteen and after saving for about 6 months I bought a Canon EOS 300 SLR camera, still a film camera with a twin lens kit, and boy did I love that camera, it came everywhere with me for the next 5 years haha, football games, Holidays, parties, home to Connemara, it was always beside me in the car.

I think I was 25 when I went digital with my Canon EOS 30D and that's when I started getting more creative and really fell in love with photography all over again. I'm now on my third Digital SLR camera and still learning every day about using them, Its amazing really what you can do with them and how quickly you can do it along with laptops and photoshop.

I now have my own small photography business called Tra Ban Photos and Ive never been happier, I take photos of weddings, parties, newborn , family and engagement photos.

My favorite part of my job is catching peoples emotions, smiles and expressions when they have no idea I am taking their photos. I like to try make all my photoshoots as fun and as relaxed as possible.
